The client wanted to re-invest a virtually dormant pension fund into something more productive. He did not want to spend a lot on set up fees but was happy to accept moderate risk.We identified the Fernie Closed Ended Property Portfolio as the ideal investment vehicle for this client. Set up costs are low. Risk is only moderate and we were able to involve his own financial advisers Prosperis to set up the SIPP with Standard Life. With entry level investment at only £16,000, this suited the client’s budget very well. Forecast returns are very healthy over the course of the 35 management contract of the hotel and he will receive his initial investment back within 3 years.
